Beautifully Hand-crafted Historic Windsor Chairs

picture of a chair and craftsman Jim Stevens working in his workshop

Master Chairmaker Jim Stevens received his training at the well known Windsor Institute in Hampton, New Hampshire. He is a member of the “Society of American Period Furniture Makers” as well as the “Woodworkers Guild of Delaware”.

Jim makes traditional Windsor chairs using the tools and techniques used by the craftsmen in the 18th Century.

Chairs are made of three different types of wood, generally Red Oak, Pine and Maple and then finished with Milk Paint giving that old traditional look.

Working alone, Jim produces historically accurate reproductions of antique originals.
